5th Grade Drive of Pride:
Anderson Elementary School Staff and Students were able to come together on Thursday, June 11, 2020 for an evening of celebration. After a few weeks of planning, the Drive of Pride ensued with energy and excitement as parents drove their All Star students down Nichols Drive to the Anderson parking lot. One by one, each student was recognized with an introduction, a loud cheer, and a drive-by that ended with a 5th grade teacher greeting, photo-op, and gift (each student received a towel, t-shirt, and summer workbook for academic advancement). When it was all said done, our evening was one of smiles, care, and a belief that that our All Stars will SHINE....SHINE BRIGHTLY!!! As things were being put away, the lyrics to Journey's most popular song, Don't Stop Believin could be heard...it seemed quite fitting for a school year that was anything and everything, but normal!
